Congressman Larry Bucshon made a stop at R and M Myers Farms in northern part of the Daviess County on Friday to discuss the proposed Environmental Protection Agency "Waters of the United States" rules as well as other topics of interest with constituents in Indiana's 8th District.

Speaking for about 90 minutes, Bucshon answered questions from those in attendance in addition to discussing the rules for the "Waters of the United States"  proposal which is part of the Clean Water Act (CWA). The EPA has proposed a rule states that waters such as tributaries and adjacent waters must be protected under the CWA because they impact the quality of downstream waters.

Bucshon said that the proposed changes have met with opposition from many members of Congress. "This isn't a partisan issue," he said. "People are concerned about the jurisdiction."
