Coats, Stutzman oppose Cuba shift

Sen. Dan Coats, R-Ind., objects to President Barack Obama’s plan to begin restoring diplomatic and trade relations between the United States and Cuba.

“Since 1961, nine different Republican and Democrat presidents have opposed normalizing relations with Cuba. President Obama’s announcement is further evidence that his foreign policy objective is appeasement,” Coats said Wednesday in a statement.
