Lawson champions new voting to honor veterans

Secretary of State Connie Lawson recently launched the Vote in Honor of a Veteran program. This program is designed to help Hoosiers share a story about the role that service to our country plays in civic participation.

“There are never enough ways for us to say, ‘Thank you,’ and honor men and women who serve our country,” Lawson said. “Without the sacrifice and dedication of our nation’s veterans and active duty military, Hoosiers would not be able to exercise their freedom to vote for the candidates of their choice. I believe we have a duty to honor those who have fought for our freedom and this is one small, but important way we can do that.”
