Lt. Gov.: Education and infrastructure mean growth in Southern Indiana

NEW ALBANY — She says Southern Indiana is primed for economic growth, but Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann said she thinks there’s more to do in the region to prepare for what’s headed this way.

At a luncheon Tuesday at IU Southeast sponsored by One Southern Indiana, Ellspermann said everything from roads to education access will play vital roles in economic development.

“Infrastructure is incredibly important,” Ellspermann said. “You can’t be the crossroads of America if you don’t have great infrastructure, and Indiana is blessed by its great location.”
