Stutzman favors ground forces in Mideast fight

Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-3rd, said Thursday he supports sending U.S. ground troops to fight the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq.

Asked in an interview at what point, if any, he would approve of the use of ground combat forces, Stutzman replied, “I think we’re at that point, honestly.”

He also said: “If we are going to engage, we need to be willing to bring down the full force of the U.S. military. … If that’s what our military says it’s going to take, I’m willing to support that.”
