LAFAYETTE — U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski is touting a new U.S. law that gives local officials more control in shaping federal jobs training programs in light of apparent growing demand in northern Indiana for skilled labor.

A “robust pipeline of skilled workers” is key in maintaining a strong economy, and she sees growing demand for such employees around northern Indiana, she said Monday, Sept. 15, at a presentation in Lafayette.
